1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Name and email address when you sign in with Google
• Profile information (bio, city, website) you optionally add
• Photos you upload to the Gallery
• Bhajans you mark as favorites

Automatically collected information:

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date
• Device information: device type, operating system
• Bhajan view counts (anonymous, not linked to your account)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the BhajanPremi service
• To save your favorite bhajans across sessions
• To display your name/avatar on gallery uploads
• To send important service notifications (account, security)
• To improve and analyze site performance
• To moderate user-generated content (gallery photos)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

3. Google Sign-In

We use Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password. Google's use of your information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US region) with row-level security policies. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We implement access controls so only authorized administrators can access user data.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please use strong passwords and keep your Google account secure.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use secure HTTP-only cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use browser local storage only for your in-session preferences.

6. User-Generated Content

Photos you upload to the Gallery are reviewed by our administrators before being made public. Approved photos may be visible to all visitors of the site. You grant BhajanPremi a non-exclusive license to display your uploaded photos on the platform. You retain ownership of your content and may request its removal at any time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — update incorrect or incomplete data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data (see Data Deletion Policy)
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to certain types of processing

8. Children's Privacy

BhajanPremi is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Third-Party Services

• Google Fonts — typography (no personal data shared)
• YouTube — embedded bhajan videos (YouTube's own privacy policy applies)
• Vercel — website hosting (may log access data)
• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of BhajanPremi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
